As proprietor of Culture Salon, Charlene Spiller cultivated a vibrant, prosperous haven where Houston beauty aficionados and style editors flock for the latest in cutting-edge hair and makeup trends. This success, coupled with Spiller's ambition to take her talents and burgeoning fashion sense global, led her to now split her time between the Houston and New York City markets.

In February 2010, Spiller was once again poised backstage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week week where she ensured super models were well dressed for the Michaels Kors, Vera Wang and Cynthia Steffe runways. Spiller has established herself as an 11-season veteran of the wildly anticipated Fashion Week in New York. Her genesis came in 2004 where she quickly went from being an observer to a key player in just one year.

While backstage at the Oscar De La Renta show in 2005, her artistry caught the eye and admiration of a Wall Street Journal reporter who interviewed and followed Spiller through several roller coaster days, chronicling the eight shows she worked that week, including stints with Donna Karan, Imitation of Christ, Sirichai and Naomi Campbell. The front-page article marked the start of Spiller's calculated rise within the New York City scene, even as she maintained her flourishing salon in Houston. Spiller's work has also been featured internationally and nationally in Esquire Hong Kong, Essence and Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazines. Her motto, "Work the Plan and Plan to Work," continues to guide her ambition and shape her success.
